Ruben Bolling is a comic strip creator who admits that he’s less interested in drawing than he used to be. Known as the brains behind the hilarious, and sometimes absurd, weekly strip “Tom the Dancing Bug,” Bolling does want to continue the strip, but also concentrate more effort on writing, and to move into other types of creative pursuits. One such pursuit may be a movie project with New Line Cinema. In an interview with Tim, Bolling talks about the movie, his influences, his tools, and his characters, as well as answering questions from listeners!

Looking at the Japanese Wikipedia page for Lord of the Rings, apparently the original translator Seta Teiji is dead, and Tanaka Akiko who assisted him at the time worked on a revised version with some corrections in 1992.
However, the names did not get changed back it seems. That said, the Wiki page seems to think that it was by Tolkien’s own wishes that names in LotR were localized for each language into which the books were translated. (Though he passed away in 1973 before the Japanese releases in 1975.) If true, then Seta is not really to blame for the wacky name changes.
