Critiquing Comics #068: “Bang Bang Lucita” and “Snake”

lucitasnakeNimProd.com has sent us the first issues of two Western books, “Bang Bang Lucita” and “Snake”. Both are fairly heavy on fan service for 21st-century straight guys, anachronisms be damned, with lots of skin showing on the shapely titular (pun intended) heroines. Both ladies are drawn with care, but what’s getting short shrift here? Tim and Mulele saddle up and go take a look-see.

  1. Thanks guys. I liked the questions you were bringing up in regard to the writing/stories. Those are the exact kind of things I wanted the reader to wonder. In fact, Lucita and Snake origins are coming after issue 5… and most other questions you asked are also addressed in the future scripts. I like that you guys took the time to research the history. When I was writing I made sure to read the real history and then I added my own little twist/variation on it… this is supposed to be a past alternate to our own. This will become more obvious as supernatural elements are slowly introduced over the first arcs. Also, the Bang Bang in the title is meant to be absurd on purpose. She’s a knife fighter whose catch phrase is “Bang Bang.” People are always commenting to her that her catch phrase should be “Snikt Snikt” (for example) and not Bang Bang.

Readers can get Bang Bang Lucita Issue 01 on ComiXology http://bit.ly/1sDzGYs and Snake Issue 01 on ComiXology cmxl.gy/1tTTWu2
